Eileens Trees Inn

Eileens Trees Inn is the best kept secret in Karatu, nestled in the heart of the village and offering comfort, charm and an authentic local atmosphere. Each accommodation is thoughtfully crafted to provide exceptional comfort, creating a memorable and authentic safari stay, enhanced by the warm service of a professional and welcoming hospitality team.

The guest rooms are set in beautiful tropical gardens, and you will find a bar, a small lounge area and a dining room in a rustic wooden building reminiscent of a tree house. The mission is simple: to provide safari visitors comfortable accommodation at good value and at a reasonable price.

There are 25 rooms in total. En-suite single, double, triple and family rooms are possible on request, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable, privately situated throughout the lush gardens. Each room has twin beds or a large queen-size bed with mosquito nets, a writing desk and seating on the veranda. The bathrooms have a large shower with hot water on demand.

The lodge has its own dedicated water source — a deep pure well — and bottled drinking water is provided in every room. Guests consistently rave about the food and the service. An on-site gift shop supports local women's education and health initiatives.

Positioned between Ngorongoro and the Serengeti, Eileens Trees Inn is a peaceful place to recharge on the way in to, or out of, the parks.
