Migration Camp
Luxury Safari
Jambo! Acacia Collections offers a selection of luxurious safari camps and lodges in two of Tanzania's premier wildlife destinations — Tarangire and Serengeti National Parks. The camps and lodges were designed to give an immersive and unforgettable experience of Tanzania's wildlife, culture and natural beauty.
Acacia Collections is the culmination of the dream of a young man, Peter Robert, who started his career as a professional tour guide on the plains of the Serengeti. Born of his love for wildlife and passion for tourism, Peter's vision was to establish an authentically Tanzanian brand while celebrating the age-old traditions of the classic African safari. Having later achieved success in the business world, he brought that vision to life in 2015 as Serengeti Acacia Camps, now Acacia Collections.
As a proudly Tanzanian-owned and operated entity, the company is committed to responsible resourcing and equitable redistribution of resources. It is a valued employer of local Tanzanian men and women, indirectly supporting hundreds of locals, and provides skills training for all staff. Every effort is made to source products and consumables from local suppliers to stimulate the economy, on the belief that for Tanzania and its tourism industry to grow it is vital to keep capital in the country.
The company works closely with local communities to support sustainable tourism initiatives, and is committed to minimising environmental impact through waste reduction, water conservation and wildlife conservation efforts.
Guests are welcomed in song with a refreshing cocktail marking the start of their adventure. Meals are a festive occasion with either a barbecue or a buffet of Tanzanian and contemporary dishes, and the air rings with traditional songs. Game drives run in custom-built safari vehicles with friendly, experienced guides. Camps are designed for comfort and relaxation, with 24-hour assistance available.
The portfolio spans seven safari properties, from a mobile migration camp to permanent luxury lodges. Note that these camps and lodges are located in Tarangire and the Serengeti rather than in Karatu itself — Karatu makes a convenient staging point en route.

Great location and comfortable rooms. The food was fresh and delicious. Only minor gripe was slow Wi-Fi.
