Karatu District Council has started maintenance work aimed at easing travel for residents and visitors alike.
Karatu District Council has begun a round of road maintenance on sections of the route linking the town to the Ngorongoro gate.
The work is intended to smooth one of the busiest tourism corridors in northern Tanzania, used daily by safari vehicles, freight and local traffic. Officials say improved roads support both residents and the visitor economy.
Drivers are advised to expect short delays at active work sites and to follow signage from crews. The council said the upgrades form part of its ongoing investment in infrastructure across the district.
